Dr Joseph Pantaleo, Dr Joe, is the Founder and Chairman of the Board for Tomorrow's Smile Today. Tomorrow's Smile Today is a 501(c)3 non profit organization. founded in 2015. Dr Joe's journey began as a child watching doctors travel to various parts of the world and perform medical treatments and education. These programs inspired Dr. Joe throughout his childhood and adolescent ages to drive a career in medicine. As time went on and Dr Joe got older, this idea metamorphosed as Dental School became a reality.
Dr Joe credits his Franciscan Education for the person he is today. The four "Golden Links" of Franciscan Education are the Spiritual, Intellectual, Social, and Physical developmental areas of every student's life. Developing these attributes as such as young age encourage students to uphold their actions in both their private and personal life. It is known that what we do when no one is watching is what molds people to who they are today. This Franciscan way of life, giving to those in need, living within your means and using your talent and skills to help others is what motivated Dr Joe to keep on going.
In 2014, Bro. Leonard Conway, first told Dr Joe of the idea of going to Lare, Kenya and do some medical work. In 2016, the first trip to Kenya was taken. Dr Joe immediately fell in love with the community and within the first day of landing in Lare, Kenya the Franciscan Brothers always had it set that Dr Joe was going to build a medical and dental facility. Not knowing what God had in store for Dr Joe, in 2019, the first ever Dental Unit was built in Lare, Kenya. by 2023, the Hospital, which was condemned, was fully rehabilitated into the in-patient care facility it is now today.
Dr Joe continues to bring Medical Doctors, Dentists, Surgeons, Nurses, Dental Hygienist and Non-Medical personnel with him on missions to Lare, Kenya. Please visit our MISSION tab to see all of the projects over the past decade.
